Today was the busiest day so far at the HUB with all sessions in extremely high demand, leaving many attendees frustrated and unable to get in. However, guests were able to use the Nokia Pods to watch sessions they couldn’t make via the Livestream, something I had to do for the Content Marketing Revolution, a popular event which was enjoying its second run.
I can understand as there was so much demand for some of the sessions, many of which were exceptional. My particular favourite was the master class – “Engaging Your Audience,” with Vine musical sensation, Nicholas Megalis from the panel who was both highly engaging and hilarious. He won the room over within seconds of speaking.
Other sessions worth a mention were “The Art & Science of Storytelling, presented by The New York Times”, and “Reading Is No Longer Fundamental: The Shift to Visual Vocabulary,” which featured panel guest Bianca Bosker, Executive Tech Editor from the Huffington Post.
Standout quote for me from the day was: “If you’re a marketer who doesn’t have a deep understanding of technology, you will be left behind.” Very true.
